For my cabinet I really wanted to add to my grandmother’s existing shelf system pictured above. Throughout my childhood I’ve always obsessed over these shelves that hold dozens of dressed forms called “style sensations” by the company The Latest Thing purchased from Paris over the years by my grandparents. I decided to created three outfits of my own that are completely different from any of the previous dressed forms on the shelves. I attempted to represent time through each outfit on the miniature forms. I made three different kinds of looks: formal, casual and swim, which I intended to represent the different seasons throughout the year.

I really like your work because your design of each clothes is so exquisite! And your idea of showing different seasons on each floor is also interesting.
I really like the composition of this piece and how you were able to blend your own work into the collection. At first, I didn’t realize there was clay on the shelf, and it was fun to try and find where each of the new forms were added. I also think your use of the clay was very effective at creating outfits.
