For the indoor installation, I decided to do it in the dining room. The light above the dining table caught my attention. I thought the dining space including the whole kitchen is mostly black and grey. I wanted to do something to add some colors to this space and make myself happy when having meals. I use color pencils because they have basically every color and they represent my personality(I love drawing). I tied the color pencils with strings and hang them freely on the light. I connected two similar colors and tied them on both ends of one string, so it makes the color changes more obvious on this installation. The color pencils really look like they are suspending in the air, especially when the lights on. I think it does create a magical atmosphere with the light to the dining area besides adding colors to it. My cat was curious about it and started to play with the suspended pencils when he saw the installation.

I thought that the bright colors and unique angles of the pencils were effective at bringing more energy into the space. The piece almost looks as if the pencils were dropped, but time was frozen before they could reach the ground. I also like how the installation looks different if the light is on or off.
