For this project I ended up using a series of old copper pipes and fittings left over from a past remodel. I wanted to give the illusion of a small refinery of some sort on the contrasting clean white background. I experimented with several layouts but ended up going with grid like layout with pipes only being position in the x, y, and z directions. I also experimented with the addition of smoke being emitted from some pipes but found it very hard to catch on camera, it can only slightly be seen in some of the photos.
I really like this piece. These lines and shapes that you’ve created are extremely interesting and move the eye around nicely. I also like the addition of the smoke and match stick, unexpected but works well.
I like how this piece looks like a small factory. The different sized pipes work well to create an interesting and energetic piece. I also like how you decided to contrast the copper pipes against the paper.
