Cabinet of Curiousity

For my Cabinet of Curiosities project I chose to physically make a cabinet as carpentry and woodworking has been a fundamental aspect of my family history rooting from my Grandpa starting a successful custom cabinetry business after being liberated from Auschwitz. I am glad I chose to do this because I now have so much more respect and understanding for how much work goes into making cabinets.

  1. I love the attention to detail and craftsmanship in this project! This piece is definitely one of a kind, and I love how you turned art into a functional object. And a very attractive piece too! I can see what some classmates were talk about how the middle triangle door handles don’t line up and the OCD of wanting them to, could drive them a little crazy. I wish you could have put those handles a little further to the sides, away from the middle and so they would be lined up equally to one another instead of having one handle slightly higher and slightly lower than the other. I don’t mind the misalignment as much, as I think it does add some quirkiness to your piece.
