Because I was unable to make an actual outdoor installation, I decided to take elements from the outdoors and use it to enhance my window that looks onto the street and my neighbors. I used dried flowers and placed them on the top of the window so it looked like they were growing down towards the bottom of the window sill. I deliberately placed more flowers on the top so they acted as blinds and partially blocked the sun. I tried taking photos of the installation with different degrees of sunlight to play with the contrast of the flowers when looking outside. From different angles, it also looks like the flowers are reaching towards the house on the other side of the street, and I chose yellow flowers to complement the color of the house. I thought it was interesting looking at my window from the outside as well, because my window is in the front of the house, so looking in, it looks like almost vines or a forest growing from the ceiling.
